Saturday is the day of our engagement party. We rolled silverware up for the party and are heading to my dad's house tomorrow night with food & such for it. Saturday around noon, we'll be heading back over and meeting my cousin Jeremy at the Fire Hall where we'll retrieve some tables he was kind enough to borrow for us. Then, we'll head to my dad's and set them up. After that, I'll change into whatever clothes I decide to wear to the party... and lounge around until people start showing up! :)

I'm so excited that we'll have almost 60 people there!!! :)

there's a lot going on here lately, but I don't have time to update you all just yet. maybe tomorrow or wednesday?

I got a phone call from Nate yesterday afternoon. He'd talked to my mother. My grandfather (her dad) is in the hospital again. This time, however, they're not expecting him to make it past a time period of 3 weeks to 3 months. I told Nate to let our brothers know. Even if they don't talk to her, they might actually care that the only biological grandparent we have left is dying.

The last week has been a very good week. Things between Shaun and I are BETTER than they ever were. I'm excited about Christmas and our anniversary. Nothing to be excited about with the new year, because I have to work on New Year's Eve.

Today, I'm grateful for my family. Without them, I'd be nothing.

And I'm grateful for awesome friends who support me no matter what I do.

But I'm especially grateful for having found the love of my life finally.

We went to Wal-mart so I could grab a few things and while we were there, we encountered a guy in the Pet department. Markie (the guy) is an associate there. He pretty much flirts with ALL the girls. But he told me he can't resist picking on a pretty girl and after we walked away, the following conversation took place.

Me: That's pretty sad. Y'know that?
Shaun: What's sad?
Me: Markie calls me pretty all the time and you've never once told me that you think I'm pretty.
Shaun: That's because I don't think you're pretty...
Me: Gee, thanks. That makes me... (was about to say 'so much better')
Shaun: I think you're beautiful.

I kissed him. RIGHT THERE.

God called my grandfather home to be by His side yesterday...

Fafa was 79. He's been sick for a long time.. and I know that this is best for him.. that now he's not suffering. Now he can breathe. Now he can rest in peace.

Does Mother Earth not get that it's SEPTEMBER and we should not be dying of heat stroke so late in the year? HELLO!

I just walked downtown at 11:30 so I could get something at the grocery store instead of getting Chubby's which would probably have included a burger and fries or pizza and wings. Stopped into the flower shop to see Rosie and went to Costa's to get lunch afterwards. Walked past the bank at 2:00pm and it said 83 degrees, but a minute later, it was 84.

Checked the time at 2:26. Had already been home a few minutes, but had to run to the bathroom to avoid peeing my pants haha...

So it took me about 20 minutes to walk ... in 84 degree weather (probably hotter now)

And my allergies wanted to kill me. So did my body in general.

I almost wish I'd gone for fried and/or greasy...

But I think walking so far in such hot weather kept me from eating more than I did...

So yay for me!
